Pricing Embroidery

Custom Embroidery is a great way to create one-of-a-kind keepsakes.

Your logo/design/text is converted to stitch data and embroidered onto your chosen garments. Simple!

What do you need to know?

The Detail and Size of the Image

As you might expect, simple logos are cheaper to embroider than detailed ones. This is mostly because larger, more detailed logos require more thread. More than that, these logos often require different colors of thread. When using different colors, multiple spools of thread must be loaded into the embroidery machine. For the most affordable rates, you will want to stick to one or two colors of thread. In terms of the amount of thread, if your design requires less than 1,000 stitches, then the prices will be reduced. When your project requires 10,000 stitches or more, you will usually start to see more significant increases in the final price.

Direct Embroidery

At Knits4Gifts we are using ‘Direct embroidery’ which involves amount of customization and preparation needed to fit the item into the embroidery machine.

It is not just the embroidery itself that must be factored into your final cost. You must also think about the items you want embroidered.

The Digitizing Process

If you are looking to get your specific logo/image/monogram embroidered, then you will also have to factor in the cost of digitizing your art. In order to load your logo on the software and create an embroidery template, you will have to first digitize your art. The process of digitizing creates a digital image of your art. This file is compatible with embroidery software, which means it can be used to create your embroidered products. Each item will come out the same thanks to the digitization process. The good news about digitizing is that it is a one-time fee. Once you digitize your art, you will always have that file ready to go for future projects.
